We strive to make Canada a cleaner, greener place for everyone to enjoy. We aim to mobilize 100000 people yearly to participate in the cleanup events.

We recognize the significance of preserving nature and wildlife in our domain and have identified non-biodegradable plastic litter as one of our greatest obstacles. A study confirms that a significant portion of plastic waste in Canada ends up in landfills, which could cause severe ecological damage. Plastic waste recycling remains a very meager percentage to affect the rising crisis.

What could we do as citizens and residents of this country to combat the issue? We recognize that the commitment has to begin within and on the grass root level for a more remarkable outcome. It starts with reducing plastic usage and disposing of the non-biodegradables correctly. We have conducted many community awareness campaigns on reducing plastic usage and suitable disposal methods. Green Canada organizes cleanup events with the help of volunteers choosing the most affected areas in Toronto.
